#thewhippingpost – Swellendam’s indigenous community is said to be outraged at the #wieisdjy collective for incidents that occurred during the last 3 weeks in Swellendam at #thewhippingpost restaurant.

What caught my attention is that the coloniser had deeply rooted history in Swellendam and that #thewhippingpost serve as a symbol of pride and that the oppressor with his indigenous minions try to curb the #wieisdjy collective by all means.
As a critical observer, in terms of my active involvement and recorder of the #wieisdjy collective, I wish to highlight that something fishy is smelling in Swellendam and specifically #thewhippingpost restaurant at the Drosdy museum, because after the 2nd meeting at the museum, which were a jail in the Apartheid era, the staff of #thewhippingpost restaurant began a propaganda campaign calling for the ban of the #wieisdjy collective from Swellendam.
